A very warm welcome to St Thomas’ Church of England Primary School,

I am really proud to be Head Teacher at St Thomas’ CofE Primary School and work with a dedicated team to provide the best education and life skills for all the children in our care.

We have achieved numerous awards of which we are very proud. Our mission statement really sums up what we are about and we aim high in all that we do.

Preparing children today for a new tomorrow; nurturing their dreams, hopes and aspirations within our Christian values and principles.

We always strive for academic excellence and provide an exciting and enriching experience for all our children. Every child is precious and it is a privilege to play a part in their development. We have an aspiration for all our children that through their school journey they will fulfil their academic potential and become successful lifelong learners. In addition, we endeavour that our children will achieve high levels of both social and emotional intelligence enabling them to succeed and thrive in the future, resulting in becoming active and productive members of society.

We expect every child to fulfil their potential not only through setting high expectations but also through celebrating everyone’s uniqueness, talents and own contributions they have to make. We believe that the key to success is happiness, a love of learning and a school where children feel supported, respected and safe.

We cannot do this alone. Our school works closely with parents, the local authority, the Diocese, local primary and secondary schools and the community to ensure the best for all our children. We are extremely proud of all we offer and achieve.

We are pleased to offer a variety of enrichment and enhancement opportunities and possess excellent links with our diverse community – we are very proud of our reputation as a warm, welcoming, family school.
